At my high school, South Lyon East High School, I have always tried to challenge myself academically. Even though I was passionate about business, I took classes outside of my preferred field of study.  One of these classes I excelled in was Modern Technology. In this class, you learned basic engineering principles and applied them to certain projects you were assigned.  One of these projects was the game design project.  The project was about creating a carnival game that will gain popularity and be affordable to build.  Another notable course I took was Advanced Placement Language and Composition. This course helped me become a better writer. It taught me how to brainstorm and write a good, well-thought essay.  This class helped me contribute to my career goals because without this class, I would write bad papers and reports which wouldn't help me in the future.
